The Asbestos Compensation Scheme was introduced to address the problem of victims of asbestos-related diseases who have not received compensation through formal legislation. This article seeks to bring to light the differences and commonalities of the various asbestos-affected treatment options available outside of the general workers’ compensation system and to systematically understand and propose corrective actions using comparative studies. However, the number of articles and studies on related topics is limited because the period of use is limited, and only six countries have used this method. In addition, the documents mentioned here only reflect the history, history, and practices of each country. Comparative studies, on the other hand, allow us to understand the universality and detail of these systems and identify the factors that contribute to their universality and certainty [13]. This is meaningful because it helps us to clarify the objectives that the government must achieve in solving the problems of the people and the policies of administration. However, in order to ensure the credibility of comparative studies, the foundation must take into account the differences in various factors such as the population, the amount of exposure to asbestos, the time to implement the system, the amount of money, and the cost. In addition, related systems within the overall social security system, such as ARI payment systems at work, medical payment systems, etc., should be considered. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find literature that compares and analyzes different systems based on these criteria.

The purpose of this study is to collect and present the latest information from each country that uses measures to help people affected by asbestos and to find similarities and differences in conditions by comparing and analyzing different ways to help people affected by asbestos considering different factors. Based on the available information, the principles and discussions that should be considered in the methods of helping victims of asbestos together with recommendations are presented.
